NECTAR. night – When Music Becomes Co-Creation

An immersive ambient concert at cocreation.loft

On February 19, the cocreation.loft in Kreuzberg transformed into a temple of sound. The first edition of NECTAR. night brought together musicians, community members, and guests for a musical experience that went far beyond a traditional concert. It was an evening of sound, connection, and shared resonance—exactly what this space was designed for.

The cocreation.loft as a Resonance Space for Creative Synergies

From the moment you stepped inside, it was clear that this night was different. The loft, usually a creative hub for work and collaboration, became a stage for sound that wasn’t just heard—it was felt. The high ceilings, open fireplace, and warm light installations created an atmosphere that perfectly matched the concept of NECTAR. night: an immersive ambient experience where music, space, and people merge into one.

The event was the brainchild of Rouzbeh, a cocreation.loft community member, who, alongside five other musicians, crafted a performance that embodied improvisation, sacred sound, and co-creation. A concert that was not just played but truly lived.

A Community That Holds Space Together

From the very beginning, it was clear that this event was more than just a performance—it was an invitation to participate. Many attendees were part of Berlin’s ambient and meditation scene, but there were also newcomers who were open to experiencing something unique. Flowing fabrics, slow, meditative movements, deep immersion in the music—the audience became an element of the performance itself. Some hummed along, others swayed trance-like, while some simply closed their eyes and let the sound carry them.

The co-creative aspect was present throughout the entire evening: entry was donation-based, free cacao and tea were offered, and interaction was encouraged at every step. The loft wasn’t just a concert venue—it became a living, breathing space for connection, both with the music and with one another.

Music That Lets the Space Breathe

The synergy between the musicians was a testament to organic improvisation. Without a strict setlist, the music unfolded naturally, growing in waves until it reached a near-sacred crescendo. The Handpan passages and the Ganesha songstood out as particularly powerful moments.

The open architecture of the loft, with its high ceilings, allowed the sound to expand beautifully, though some of the higher frequencies could have been softer. A slight adjustment with textiles or acoustic elements could enhance future concerts even further.

A Promising Beginning

With NECTAR. night - Vol I., the cocreation.loft proved once again that it is not just a workspace but a place for musical co-creation. The community showed that it doesn’t just attend events—it actively shapes them. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and the question of whether there will be a second edition was already in the air that same night.

If the cocreation.loft stands for anything, it is the power of shared creativity. NECTAR. night demonstrated how this vision can be translated into sound. We are excited for more.
